A Hellish Week

I cannot tell you what a hellish two and a half weeks I have had. As I posted before, my cat, Kenya, had what I thought was a urinary tract infection. Well, after 3 different antibiotics, it was not getting any better and the vet discovered it was stones. So....Kenya had to go in for surgery last Tuesday. That part went well. He has been home since Wednesday and the first two days, he did great. However, we are now back to him peeing everywhere, including all over the bedding and I am tearing my hair out. He can't settle down so I am up all night with him. Last week, I was on night shift and it just about killed me. At least this week I am off.

I took Kenya back to the vet on Friday and we are watching him over the weekend. Yesterday, he did great. Last night and this morning, right back to ground zero. I just feel so bad for him and I don't know what to do to help.

Anyway....in between all this nonsense, I was able to get a card done. The paper is 7 Gypsies and the embellishments are pretty simple since it's for a male. I have quite a few orders to get done this week. Time shouldn't be a problem since I have a spare 8 hours every day that I'm not sleeping.

Hopefully, my next post will bring better news. I'm right on the edge and we have to get it resolved!

Another Goodbye

Lately, it seems that everywhere you turn, people at work are coming and going. So we have another goodbye card made from some Kimberly Poloson for Fiskars paper. I thought rather than the traditional good bye message, maybe Bon Voyage might be a little more appropriate since this person is not really leaving but merely moving down the hall. The sentiment and car and trailer were cut from Cricut cartridge "Beyond Birthdays", the stars from Cricut "George" and I finished it all off with some magic mesh, buttons and a piece of twine. I'm off to a barbecue today so I hope the rain holds off. Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by.

New Store, New Stuff

I was out and about yesterday and remembered there was a new scrapbooking store right in the area so popped in for 10 minutes that turned into 45 minutes and $100. It was worth it though as I was able to get some new papers and lots of fun embellishments. Like I need more. But needing is not the point; the point is that this stuff is out there so I have to have it. Kind of like climbing Mount Everest but different.

This is a card for one of our Supervisors at work who is moving on. I always love working with the scalloped edged paper as they finish things off so well. The red star border is felt fusion by Queen&Co. and is self-adhesive which, in my opinion, all things should be. No muss, no fuss.

Rain again today (what else is new?) but nice out tonight. Perhaps we can get one good blue-skied day tomorrow.
