When my girlfriend called me last week to tell me Davy Jones had died, I could not believe it. For I have idolized Davy for most of my life....well, since I was 10 years old up until present day (I last saw him summer 2011). I have met him a few times, have seen him in concert many, many times, have seen him at speaking engagements and tennis tournaments and God knows what else. From all accounts, it would appear he was as good a person in life as he appeared to be through the TV world in which I best knew him. I am anxiously awaiting an announcement with details of a New York memorial which I would really love to attend. Such a sad day for Monkees fans everywhere.
